Spangdahlem celebrates Month of the Military Child

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- April is the Month of the Military Child and showcases the role military children play in the armed forces community.

The following is a list of events for the Spangdahlem community.

- An Easter Egg Hunt takes place 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. April 7 at the Skelton Memorial Fitness Center. The hunt for ages 4-13 is 8:30 - 8:55, and infants to age 3 is 9:05 - 9:30. For more information, call DSN 452-6634 or 06565-61-6634.

- A kick-off block party takes place 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. April 7 at the Skelton Memorial Fitness Center. There will be bouncy castles, face painting, shows, games, prizes and more. All families and ages are welcome. For more information, call DSN 452-6634 or 06565-61-6634.

- A bumper bowling event takes place 6-8 p.m. April 9 at the Eifel Lanes Bowling Center. To reserve a lane, call DSN 452-6697 or 06565-61-6697 to reserve a lane. All families and ages welcome.

- An art auction and spaghetti dinner takes place 6 - 8 p.m. April 17 at the Spangdahlem Middle School gym. The cost is $3 and must be paid in cash. There will be a live and silent auction. For more information, call DSN 452-9332 or 06565-61-9332.

- A movie in the park takes place 6:30 p.m. April 20 at the bowling center pavilion. Participants are encouraged to bring their own blanket. All families and ages welcome. For more information, call DSN 452-6697 or 06565-61-6697.
