Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are appreciated in our community and are celebrated throughout the year. Because of the limited employment opportunities, volunteering may be a great option for spouses or family members to become acquainted and involved with the community. Volunteering will also help you learn new skills, maintain skills that you already posses, and gain work experience while waiting for the job offer.

There are many agencies on base, including the American Red Cross, that accept and train volunteers. The clinic and hospital use Red Cross volunteers in administration, Family Advocacy, patient assistance, Health Promotion and many other areas.

Once you are settle you can schedule an appointment with the Volunteer Resource Program Manager (VRPM) to review the large and varied volunteer options. Job descriptions on each position are listed to allow you to consider your options. If you have a skill or talent that is not being recruited currently it may be possible to create a position just for you. You can also email your questions at the VRPM 52mss.dpfall@spangdahlem.af.mil or call at (DSN) 452-6422 or 01149-656561-6422.
