Group Summary
The 52nd Medical Group supports the 52nd Fighter Wing’s mission of providing full spectrum airpower to joint and allied commanders. 52 MDG provides quality medical and dental services to nearly 9,500 beneficiaries at Spangdahlem Air Base and 4 geographically separated units, or GSUs.

The 52nd Medical Group (52 MDG) is organized into four squadrons and group staff:
The 52nd Medical Group Staff is comprised of the Command Section, Medical Management (Case, Utilization and Disease Management), the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), Group Practice Management, Quality Services and Education & Training.
The 52nd Operational Medical Readiness Squadron (52 OMRS) provides care to optimize combat capabilities of the 52 FW and associated Geographically Separated Units by providing aeromedical, occupational and preventive health support to our beneficiaries. Services include Flight Medicine, Public Health, Optometry, Health Promotions, Dental, Bioenvironmental Engineering and Aerospace Physiology.
The 52nd Health Care Operations Squadron (52 HCOS) provides comprehensive primary care and limited referral and space-available subspecialty care to TRICARE-enrollees. Available services include: Acupuncture, Allergy & Immunizations, Ambulance Services (24/7 medical response), Family Advocacy, Family Health, Mental Health, Minor Surgical Procedures, Pediatrics, Physical Therapy, Preventive Health, Substance Abuse Counseling and Women’s Health. Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) provides evaluation and coordination of Early Intervention Services and related services, as mandated by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
The 852nd Medical Squadron (852 MDS) provides comprehensive primary care to the US population supporting NATO and the Tri-Border community of Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands. Available services include: Allergy & Immunizations, Dental, Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), Family Advocacy, Family Health, Flight Medicine, Health Promotions, Mental Health, Preventive Health, Public Health, Optometry, and Substance Abuse Counseling.
