Years in Service: Five years
Why joined: I took Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps in high school and fell in love with the military. In junior ROTC, they selected a couple of students to attend the summer leadership school in MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., which opened my eyes to my future.
Hobbies: Right now, school is taking up most my time. I am taking as many courses as I can to be able to apply to nursing school next year. My greatest passion, though, is Latin dancing.
Favorite aspect of job: I love helping customers on a daily basis, meeting new faces every day and learning new things from my leadership.
Most memorable Air Force experience: My most memorable experience in the Air Force was when I was deployed in 2009. We got the chance to meet with some Iraqi women and children and teach them about hygiene. I enjoyed the interaction and play time with the children. I also was lucky enough to be there during Hispanic Heritage Month and was able to perform to different Latin dancing styles in Baghdad's Water Palace.
How do you make responsible choices: I always try to think of the outcome before I make choices. I really believe in the phrase, "Lead by example."
