JPAC team excavates 1944 aircraft crash

ST. VITH, Belgium -- Senior Airman Nicholas Lee, Ramstein Air Base 1st Combat Communications Squadron electrical power production journeyman, sifts through dirt in search of debris from a World War II aircraft crash here Aug. 29. The Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command conducts global search and recovery operations to locate and identify unaccounted-for Americans from past conflicts and return them home with honor to support the Department of Defense’s personnel accounting efforts.
