52nd CES makes water safe for environment
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany –Senior Airman David Spivey, 52nd Civil Engineer Squadron water and fuels system maintenance technician, takes a sample of wastewater from a tank during a daily sample inspection at the wastewater treatment facility here Sept. 5. Samples are taken daily from every stage of the treatment process to ensure they meet German environmental standards. The facility processes wastewater from the base to remove any hazardous chemicals it may contain before it is released back into the environment.
