Airman 1st Class Kelly Walsh, an emergency action controller with the 52nd Fighter Wing Command Post, has been named the 52nd Fighter Wing's Top Saber Performer for the week of July 27 - Aug. 2.

Why joined: I joined the Air Force to serve my country, with a chance to travel and gain further education while pursuing a career in the Air Force.
Family: Mother, Father and older sister.
Hobbies: I enjoy running, traveling and studying German.
Favorite aspect of job: My favorite aspect of the job is working in the Wing Operations Center; we receive time critical information. It is our job to ensure that the appropriate agency/personnel are informed in a timely matter. I enjoy helping other people by providing information to increase awareness that will promote the safety of my fellow Airmen.
Most memorable Air Force experience: My most memorable Air Force experience was receiving a short-notice deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan. While there, I rode in a Blackhawk helicopter and on the flightdeck of a C-130, going off base and meeting the Afghan National Army.
