Maintenance Airmen load up for annual competition

Members of one of the load competition teams work to load a dummy weapon on to an F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft during the quarterly weapons load competition in Hangar 1 on Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, Oct. 16, 2015. Family, friends and members of the Spangdahlem community attended the competition to see which of the two teams of three maintenance Airmen would move on to the annual load competition. U.S. Air Force Col. Joe McFall, 52nd Fighter Wing commander, U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Brian Gates, 52nd Fighter Wing command chief, and U.S. Air Force Col. Stephen Scherzer, 52nd Maintenance Group commander, attended the competition and congratulated the winning team afterwards.
