F-22s take flight back to Tyndall AFB
A U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor fighter pilot assigned to the 95th Fighter Squadron at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., takes off from the runway Sept. 11, 2015, at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. The U.S. Air Force deployed four F-22 Raptors, one C-17 Globemaster III, and approximately 60 Airmen and associated equipment to Spangdahlem to train with NATO allies and partners. These relationships are critical to ensuring safety and stability in the European region. The forward presence allows the rotation of units from the U.S. to augment the forces in Europe whenever needed. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Christopher Ruano/Released)
