Mosel harvest
While a group of American volunteers from Ramstein assisted with the handpicking of the Mosel Riesling grape, a large harvesting vehicle ran back and forth on the opposite side of the hill, collecting grapes, Oct. 19, 2013. In most areas along the Mosel, the Riesling grape harvest was just recently completed. Local vintners say there will be less quantity in wine this year, but the quality can be compared to last year’s. (U.S. Air Force photo by Iris Reiff) tasting.
