Silent auction raises money for charity
The Spangdahlem Air Base First Sergeant Council sponsored a silent auction event with nearly 250 autographed memorabilia items for sale, with all the proceeds going toward the Fisher House Foundation and Operation Warmheart. Operation Warmheart provides support to service members who are undergoing an emergency and may need financial aid. The Fisher House Foundation offers free housing to military families who are visiting their service member in a hospital. There are more than 60 homes globally with 22,000 families served in 2013.
