Silent auction raises money for charity
An autographed first-edition Harry Potter novel was one of the final items up for bid during a silent auction in Club Eifel at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, May 30, 2014. The book's author, J.K. Rowling, had signed and donated the book to the base's First Sergeant Council to raise money for Operation Warmheart and the Fisher House Foundation. The book sold for $2,000.
