Disease containment
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Airman 1st Class Kristopher Kohena, 52nd Equipment Maintenance Squadron, ties on a surgical mask during a Disease Containment Plan Sept 17. Airmen simulated illness to test the 52nd Medical Group’s ability to perform mass prophylaxis which are procedures intended to prevent the spread of disease. Depending on the symptoms, 232 Airmen were routed to different stations to receive situational briefings, triage, medication and/or hospitalization.
