Saber receives American Red Cross award

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Rene Hohls receives an American Red Cross Exceptional Volunteer Award from Tom Smith, Red Cross station manager, for her outstanding work within the Spangdahlem Air Base community during the past two years. Mrs. Hohls served as the Schools Chair human resource chair and participated in multiple community activities while representing the Red Cross. Mrs. Hohls is the Level 1 winner of the Armed Forces Emergency Services Award for her assistance to the Spangdahlem Elementary School which was selected for the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries award of $5,000. Mrs. Hohls’s award package will be forwarded to the Level II competition. (Courtesy photo)
