Cologne Dom Cathedral
COLOGNE, Germany – Construction of the Cologne Dom Cathedral began in 1248. Due to numerous interruptions in construction, it was not completed until 1880. During World War II the cathedral was hit by 14 aerial bombs, but did not collapse. The damage was repaired by 1956. The Information, Tickets, and Travel office offers a trip to Cologne Nov. 24.
