Commander surprises sergeant with STEP promotion

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Col. Tip Wight, 52nd Fighter Wing commander, STEP-promotes Tech. Sgt. David Kechter Jr., 702nd Munitions Maintenance Squadron combat arms and equipment NCO in charge, May 12 at Buechel Air Base. Colonel Wight surprised 702nd MUNSS Airmen by showing up at their exercise hot wash and calling Sergeant Kechter up front for being "out of uniform." He then presented him technical sergeant stripes.
