SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Mr. Angelo Di Mauro, who shows the sandstone entry door to a former pottery maker’s house in Binsfeld to base members, including Colonel Christopher Weggeman, 52nd Fighter Wing commander, his wife, Ann, and Colonel Jodine Tooke, 52nd Mission Support Group commander. The Binsfeld historical walk included a visit to a war cemetery and a stop at several road crosses and historical sites that can be found throughout the community. Walter Faber, the mayor of Binsfeld, invited visitors to a barbecue near the community fire station with German schwenks afterward.
