SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Following an invitation by Christoph Holkenbrink, the Wittlich area mayor, and Fritz Kohl, the mayor of Bruch, a group of base members and their families explored the community of Bruch, located between the base and the town of Wittlich. Besides the beautiful two-tower- Eifel castle, the visitors were able to view the local church, an old baker’s mill and stop at the annual community festival for coffee and cake. Explore the Eifel events offer base members the opportunity to get out and learn more about local culture and history. (U.S. Air Force photo/Iris Reiff)
