Spangdahlem honors Chief Master Sgt. Richard Etchberger
SPANGDAELEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Servicemembers from the 52nd Fighter Wing chose to honor Chief Master Sgt. Richard Etchberger with a formal retreat ceremony at the wing headquarters building Sept. 21. President Barack Obama held a White House ceremony posthumously awarding the Medal of Honor to Chief Richard Etchberger for his efforts that saved lives on a previously classified mission at radar site Lima 85 during the Vietnam War.
