Christmas traditions

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- People shop and socialize at the traditional Trier Weihnachtsmarkt, open now until Dec. 22 in the main market square. Opening times are 10:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday - Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. Thursday - Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sundays. Music and entertainment is scheduled throughout each weekend, and Santa will visit often. The United States Air Forces in Europe Band will perform Christmas music 6-7 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Trier market.
