Spangdahlem goes green
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany— Col. Christopher Weggeman, 52nd Fighter Wing commander, places his belongings in his new 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid here Jan. 21. Colonel Weggeman is the first person to drive a hybrid in the fleet at Spangdahlem as a step toward the goal to comply with an Executive Order requiring a 34 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2020 and 20 percent reduction of petroleum use by 2015.
