52nd FW fights upcoming flu season

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Staff Sgt. Kelani Mendiola, 52nd Medical Operations Squadron, fills a syringe with the flu virus vaccine before a base-wide vaccination here Sept. 7. The flu mist and flu shot are annual requirements for service members and their families. Active-duty military members at Spangdahlem were required to receive the vaccination by Sept. 8 and family members will be able to get their vaccinations Sept. 19.
