Saving lives: Aircrew flight equipment technicians’ efforts keep pilots alive
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Airman 1st Class Niall Spradley, 52nd Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment technician, inspects the canopy of a parachute for wear and damage at Bldg. 32 here Jan. 25 during a yearly inspection ensuring the parachute is still safe for use. The technicians are responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing flight equipment ensuring it’s reliable and ready to use safely by the pilots and aircrew who need it.
