AMUs face off for load crew of the year
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Staff Sgt. Matthew Bonney, 81st Aircraft Maintenance Unit weapon load crew chief, guides Senior Airman Forrest Womack, 81st AMU weapon load crew member, while he uses an MJ-1 Jammer to pick up a GBU-38 bomb during the load crew of the year competition at Hangar 1 here Feb. 10. Each of the three load crews won a quarterly competition to participate in this event. The winner will be announced at the wing annual awards March 9 and will represent Spangdahlem AB in a U.S. Air Forces in Europe load crew competition later this year.
