Fighter wing supports international training exercise
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – A 480th Fighter Squadron F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft takes flight here March 2 heading for Anatolian Falcon 2012 at Turkish air force's Konya Air Base, Turkey. AF12 is a weapons-training deployment geared to expanding and honing military interoperability between the U.S. and Turkish air forces. More than 250 Airmen and 15 aircraft will participate in the exercise, which involves air missions to include interdiction, attack, air superiority, defense suppression, airlift, air refueling and reconnaissance.
