National Museum of Military History in Diekirch brings history alive
DIERKIRCH, Luxembourg - This diorama scene, located at the National Museum of Military History in Diekirch, Luxembourg, shows how three German soldiers distribute supplementary rations of smoked meat, bread and apples on the frontline after the products arrived in a Zuendapp motorcycle with sidecar. A series of large-scale life-size dioramas, thematic exhibits, weaponry, vehicles, countless original photographs and many personal artifacts tell the story of the liberation of Luxembourg by the United States and allied forces in 1944-45 as well as the history of the “Battle of the Bulge,” at the museum.
