Spangdahlem enters third dimension
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – U.S. Air Force Col. Chris Weggeman, 52nd Fighter Wing commander, and U.S. Army Col. Fred Hannah, Exchange Europe commander, cut a ribbon during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Spangdahlem Skyline Theater grand reopening here April 4. The two organizations jointly renovated and upgraded the facility through shared financial contributions. The 52nd FW spent $575,850 of the Commander in Chief’s 2011Installation Excellence award money for building renovations, and the Exchange spent $350,000 for system upgrades. This is the first Exchange theater in the world to have 3-D capabilities and full digital audio and video. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Daryl Knee/Released)
