Spangdahlem enters third dimension
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Moviegoers enter the Spangdahlem Skyline Theater here April 4 after a reopening ribbon-cutting ceremony. The theater had been closed for nearly three months for a $925,850 renovation and upgrade project to the facility and its systems. The money came from shared financial contributions between the Exchange and Spangdahlem’s Commander in Chief’s 2011 Installation Excellence award. This is the first Exchange theater in the world to have 3-D capabilities and full digital audio and video, and more than 400 people attended the first movie showing.
