AGE supports Spangdahlem AB’s flying mission

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Airman 1st Class Ernest Chim, 52nd Equipment Maintenance Squadron aerospace ground equipment apprentice, uses a ball penn hammer to attach a dust cap on a diesel generator to prevent condensation from forming during a wheel bearing inspection at the AGE inspection and repair shop in Bldg. 185 here. The AGE flight inspects these generators every two years to ensure they operate properly, and condensation is prevented to avoid corrosion and damage to the generator. AGE members also inspect, test and operate ground support equipment to support Spangdahlem AB’s aircraft operations. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Christopher Toon/Released)
