Firefighters train for rope, high-angle rescue

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Airman 1st Class Tyler Clemons, 52nd Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter, rappels down the control tower during training here June 29. Firefighters from the 52nd CES complete rappelling training so they can be rescue certified to perform rope and high-angle rescue techniques. The firefighters train annually to ensure the force maintains the highest level of proficiency and readiness for rapid rescue attempts in demanding situations.
