Fighter wing welcomes new commander

SPANGDHALEM AIR BASE, Germany – Col. David Julazadeh, 52nd Fighter Wing commander, shouts the wing motto of “seek, attack, destroy” during the wing change of command ceremony inside Hangar 1 here July 3. The saber is symbolic of the wing’s mascot and is tradition for the incoming commander to take possession of the sword. Julazadeh assumed command of the 52nd FW from Brig. Gen. Chris Weggeman during the ceremony. More than 400 Spangdahlem Airmen, family members and local community leaders attended the event to celebrate the passing of command.
