Navy course teaches Airmen to save AF millions
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Master Sgt. Daniel Egbert, 372nd Training Squadron Detachment 17 Miniature and Micro-miniature Repair Program instructor, teaches students how to solder circuit board components Aug. 1 during the 2M program at the 372nd TRS’ Detachment 17 here. The 2M course is a U.S. Navy certification program, which teaches Airmen how to do in-house repairs on circuit components that would otherwise be sent back to the manufacturer or to heavy maintenance for repair or thrown away. Last year, the program saved U.S. Air Forces in Europe $4.8 million. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Natasha Stannard/Released)
