A10s take off for NATO exercise
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Lt. Col. Clinton Eichelberger, 81st Fighter Squadron commander, prepares to step into an A-10 Thunderbolt II on the flightline here Sept. 4, to take off for Ramstein Rover 2012 (RARO12). This month-long tactical flying exercise is held at and around Namest Air Base, Czech Republic. More than 15 nations are participating in the NATO partnership building exercise, which will give each country the opportunity to share joint tactics, techniques, capabilities and procedures.
