A10s take off for NATO exercise

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Senior Airman Joseph Aguilera, 52nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron maintainer, ground-guides an A-10 Thunderbolt II on the flightline here Sept. 4, for takeoff to Ramstein Rover 2012 (RARO12). This month-long tactical flying exercise is held at and around Namest Air Base, Czech Republic. More than 15 nations are participating in the NATO partnership building exercise, which will give each country the opportunity to share joint tactics, techniques, capabilities and procedures. RARO12 provides supreme pre-deployment training for air-land-integration elements in international security assistance force theater scenarios.
