A10s take off for NATO exercise
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – An A-10 Thunderbolt II from the 81st Fighter Squadron taxis down the flightline here Sept. 4. The 81st Fighter Squadron is leaving for Ramstein Rover 2012 (RARO12), a month-long tactical flying exercise held at and around Namest Air Base, Czech Republic. More than 15 nations are participating in the NATO partnership building exercise, which will give each country the opportunity to share joint tactics, techniques, capabilities and procedures.
