Silent auction to raise money for Operation Warm Heart
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Anthony Mitchell, 52nd Logistics Readiness Squadron assistant first sergeant and Spangdahlem First Sergeant Council fundraising chairperson, created a silent auction for Operation Warm Heart. The program is designed to help Airmen during financial emergencies. Mitchell, an avid sports fan, began contacting national sports stars and team coaches in January to garner support for the program. He sent out more than 500 requests for donations.
