U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 52nd Maintenance Group competed in a quarterly load competition to boost morale and display technical capabilities at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, Oct. 30, 2025. The load competition consisted of a bomb-build, where Airmen assembled a GBU-38 bomb before loading it and two other weapons onto an F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft. The event is a race between two selected teams of top-performing weapons load crews, and the winning team receives a plaque as well as recognition for their achievement.
