U.S. Air Force Col. William Lutmer, 52nd Fighter Wing commander, conducted immersion tours of the 702nd Munitions Support Squadron at Büchel Air Base, Germany, Aug. 13, 2025, and the 701st MUNSS at Kleine Brogel Air Base, Belgium, Aug. 17, 2025. During his immersions, Lutmer received a first-hand look on the mission of 52nd Munitions Maintenance Group, learned more about the unique challenges, opportunities and experiences of Airmen assigned to geographically separated units, and imparted his vision and expectations for the munitions support squadrons.
