SPANGDHALEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Airmen assigned to the 52nd Fighter Wing executed a major accident response exercise (MARE) at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, July 30, assessing emergency response readiness through realistic training scenarios.
Emergency responders from the 52nd Medical Group and the 52nd Civil Engineer Squadron fire protection flight coordinated to identify, triage, and treat simulated casualties, while containing and mitigating simulated hazards, such as fuel leaks and spills.
Regularly scheduled MAREs ensure personnel across the installation remain proficient in crisis response, sustaining mission effectiveness and readiness for potential real-world emergencies.
