SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, GERMANY -- Elizabeth Childs, Spangdahlem Middle School principal, ate three worms at the school as a tribute to the hard work of her students June 13. Mrs. Childs made a pledge to the students that she would eat one worm for every 1,000 box tops the students collected as part of a General Mills' Box Tops for Education. After the collected Box Tops are sent in, the school receives a check, equivalent to 10 cents for every Box Top. Schools can earn up to $60,000 per year for supplies.
