Spangdahlem cops streamline traffic ticket processing Published June 26, 2007 By Staff Sgt. Jared Frey Det. 9, Air Force News Agency SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, GERMANY -- Spanghdahlem Air Base security forces members are using the Air Force Smart Operations for the 21st century process to help streamline their traffic citation process. Security forces Airmen fill their walls with sticky-notes, each one representing a step to process just one traffic citation. "When they are saying it takes 67 days to process one citation, I'm thrilled because there has to be something we can trim out of there," said Maj. Paul Cairney, the 52nd Security Forces Squadron commander. After speaking with his Airmen, Major Cairney learned the importance of the process and found out they could save thousands of hours processing their tickets and intends to use AFSO 21 in other processes.
