Airmen receive Article 15, UCMJ punishments Published July 31, 2007 By 52nd Fighter Wing Judge Advocates Office SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- During the month of June, six Spangdahlem Airmen received non-judicial punishment under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice: · A senior airman assigned to the 704th Munitions Support Squadron violated Article 92 by wrongfully using his Government Travel Card and Article 107 for making a false official statement. The commander imposed a reduction to the grade of airman with reduction below airman first class suspended and forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months suspended. · A senior airman assigned to the 52nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron violated Article 92 by failing to obey a technical order. The commander imposed a reduction to the grade of airman first class suspended and forfeiture of $150 pay per month for two months. · An airman first class assigned to the 52nd Equipment Maintenance Squadron violated Article 111 by driving while under the influence of alcohol. The commander imposed a reduction to the grade of airman basic, 45 days restriction, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand. · A staff sergeant assigned to the 52nd AMXS violated Article 128 by striking a fellow airman in the throat with a glass and Article 134 by being drunk and disorderly. The commander imposed a reduction to the grade of senior airman and a reprimand. · An airman first class assigned to the 52nd Security Forces Squadron violated Article 121 by stealing a DVD Burner, a value of about $48, the property of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. The commander imposed a reduction to the grade of airman and a reprimand. · A senior airman assigned to the 52nd Logistics Readiness Squadron violated Article 92 by willfully cheating on an Airman Leadership School test. The commander imposed a reduction to the grade of airman first class, 21 days extra duty and a reprimand. During the month of June, two Spangdahlem Airmen were involuntarily discharged for cause in accordance with Air Force Instruction 36-3208: · An airman first class assigned to the 606th ACS was administratively discharged for Misconduct: minor disciplinary infractions, with an under honorable conditions general service characterization. · An airman basic assigned to the 52nd EMS was administratively discharged for Misconduct: commission of a serious offense, with an under honorable conditions general service characterization.
