Conserve not only money, but also natural resources with the following Green Tips:

General awareness
- Create an awareness in children for the need of energy conservation.
- Be aware of the need for energy conservation at home, the workplace, hotels, etc.

Lighting:
- Turn-off lights when they are not being used; one 100-watt incandescent light left on for 24-hours a day costs more than $150 per year.
- Use low-energy light bulbs whenever possible since they use less than one quarter of the electricity used by ordinary light bulbs and can last 15 times longer.
- Use low-wattage bulbs in night-lights.
- Use natural lighting whenever possible; open blinds, drapes and shades.
- Use fluorescent lights if possible; they use less energy and have a longer life cycle.
- Keep lamps and light fixtures clean.
- In storage areas and corridors, replace existing lighting with smaller wattage or higher-efficiency lights.
