Top Saber Performer for Nov. 23 - 29 Published Nov. 21, 2007 52nd Fighter Wing Public Affairs SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Master Sgt. James Wells, Jr., 52nd Fighter Wing Legal Office NCOIC of General Law, has been named the 52nd Fighter Wing's Top Saber Performer for the week of Nov. 23 - 29. Name: Master Sgt. James Wells, Jr. Unit: 52nd Fighter Wing Legal Office Duty title: NCOIC of General Law Hometown: Winchester, Tenn. Years in service: 16 years Why joined: I joined the Air Force to travel, for education assistance and to learn a valuable trade. Family: I've been married for seven years to Maria Theresa Wells; we have two daughters - Marie Bailey (age 13) and Joanna Bailey (age 12); and son - Justin Wells (4). Hobbies: I enjoy playing golf, traveling and Texas Hold'em poker. Favorite aspect of job: I enjoy working with and helping people. Whether someone has legal problems/questions or just doesn't know where to go to get something accomplished, working in the Legal Office gives me base-wide exposure to all of the available resources to help our fellow Airmen and families when in need of assistance. If you can't help someone personally, it's nice to be able to point someone in the right direction. Most memorable Air Force experience: Without a doubt, my most memorable Air Force experience involves both of my deployments since Sept. 11. We train for many years to become experts in our individual trade. In the deployed environment, especially a joint environment, it's an amazing feeling to see how your skill set directly contributes to the fight and how everyone comes together to work toward a common goal -- Global War on Terrorism. I'm proud to be an Airman.
