"Buddy" Walker Unit: 52nd Fighter Wing Chapel Duty title: Chaplain Hometown: Lufkin, Texas Years in service: Eight years Why joined Air Force: I joined the Air Force because of the aerospace ministry. Family: My mom and dad, who still live in Lufkin on the ranch. Hobbies: I enjoy flying my Cessna 310 in Texas, trail biking, cave exploring, teaching and discovering historic sites. Favorite aspect of job: My favorite aspect of the job is helping people find their way through challenges, celebrating humanity in wartime settings and granting Airmen permission to smile. Most memorable Air Force experience: My most memorable Air Force experience was the chance to fly keynote speaker Bobby Bowden, Florida State head football coach, to Tyndall Air Force Base's National Prayer Breakfast in my plane. There was nasty weather and a huge crowd, but what a speech!
