Dobson, 52nd Operations Support Squadron air traffic control watch supervisor, has been named the 52nd Fighter Wing's Top Saber Performer for the week of Jan. 18-24. Name: Staff Sgt. Kristin M. Dobson Unit: 52nd Operations Support Squadron Duty title: Air traffic control watch supervisor Hometown: Mathews County, Va. Years in service: Six years Why joined: I joined the Air Force to serve my country and become an air traffic controller. Family: My Mom and Dad reside in Mathews County, Va., and my brother Scott and his family live in Gloucester, Va. Hobbies: In my off duty time I enjoy cycling, snowboarding, traveling and being President of the 52nd OSS Booster Club. Favorite aspect of job: My favorite aspect of my job is telling pilots where to go, while getting them to and from the fight safely and expeditiously. Most memorable Air Force experience: My most memorable experience has been deploying to Iraq in 2004. It was a unique experience working with other country's armed forces in a deployed location.
