BMS students earn honors at science, humanities symposium Published March 5, 2008 By Bitburg Middle School SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- The Bitburg Middle School sent nine students to the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium where their work was ranked against 160 Department of Defense Dependents Schools middle and high school students from across Europe. Four students from BMS captured awards when they presented their projects. The following students were recognized. Erin Schwartz took home second place in the oral presentation category out of nine presentations. Erin is the daughter of Susan and David Schwartz. Victoria Flores and Haley Davis grabbed second place in the poster presentation category out of 44 posters. Victoria is the daughter of Elizabeth and Tech. Sgt. Robert Flores, 52nd Medical Support Squadron. Haley is the daughter of Rachelle and Master Sgt. Christian Davis, 606th Air Control Squadron. Mark Muniz earned third place in the poster presentation category. Mark is the son of Mary Ann and Master Sgt. John Muniz, 52nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
