Mayann Clark Unit: 52nd Medical Support Squadron Duty title: NCOIC of hematology/coagulation Hometown: Makakilo, Hawaii Years in service: 10 Why joined: It's a family tradition to join the Air Force. I also wanted to see more of the world and get my education at the same time. Family: My husband, Scott Clark, and our 7-year old son, Declan Clark, are here with me in Germany. Hobbies: I read a lot of fiction books in my spare time. Favorite aspect of job: My favorite aspect of the job results from the laboratory tests we perform; it helps providers diagnose patient ailments and is therefore help patients feel better later. Most memorable Air Force experience: My most memorable Air Force experience was drawing blood for a cholesterol check from Col. Utterback, my wing commander at the time, at Misawa Air Base, Japan, to promote Women's Health Month and getting personally thanked for it.
