SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – The base Honor Guard gave a 21-gun salute to honor the retired and fallen Military Working Dogs, during an MWD memorial, Sept. 3, 2008. The ceremony included a memorial plaque that honored 11 MWDs, five of which completed their military service and were adopted by their handlers.
