Name: Airman 1st Class Angel Royster

Unit: 52nd Contracting Squadron

Duty title: Contracting specialist

Hometown: As a military brat, I can claim no one place as a hometown, but if I had to choose one, I would pick Wahiawa, Oahu, Hawaii where I lived for from November 1989 - November 1992.

Years in Service: Approximately 20 months.

Why joined: To serve my country, pay off college loans, travel, meet new people and gain valuable professional job experience.

Family: My mother, Nancy, father, Robin, brother, Nathan, and cats Jasmine, Luna, and Igby all of whom currently reside in Wisconsin.

Hobbies: Working towards my master's degree, traveling and art (illustration, crafts and sewing).

Favorite aspect of job: The fact that I get to shop for a living. Problem solving is an integral part of the job because no matter how much you know or how many years you have been in contracting, you will never know it all; there are always opportunities to learn. No two days are identical. This job is a lot of things, but it is never boring.

Most memorable AF experience: Following the arduous training and conditioning of basic military training, graduating in spring of 2007.

Supervisor and DSN: SSgt. Ryan Laube/452-9522
